Lakatoi (aka Ripley Kavara) has lit up dancefloors as a DJ and as Kandere, supporting Leonce, Asmara and Juliana Huxtable. He is an organiser of Lapdance 4 Trans Rights, co-founder of Alterity Collective, and weaves together queer bla(c)k voices of Pasifika, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities as FAMILI.
