"I floated in a dream that hovered between bliss and nightmare."

Sally Blenheim's Wake takes the form of a surreal underground landscape – a fantastical gothic garden, where time slows then stops. The artist is interested in how people move their ‘spiritual’ desires between different objects and spaces. How certain places and things can have a spiritual power, how objects become imbued with a power above and beyond their materiality.
