The Moose Lovers
Alice Lang
2 Mar → 24 Mar 2007

It is said that during the winter season, the Yukon male and a moose buck act very similar. They drink a lot, eat very little, fight and run around like crazy trying to find a mate for the winter.

The Moose Lovers is an exhibition of soft sculpture and photography by Alice Lang created in response to the unique relationship between human and animal experienced during a two-month artist residency undertaken in Dawson City, Yukon, Canada in 2006. The work creates tension between the familiar and the unknown, animal and human to blur the boundary between allure and repulsion.
