The Antarctic Convergence draws on a range of artists who have had firsthand encounters with the frozen continent.

The knowledge and experience curator Philip Samartzis accumulated as an Australian Antarctic Division Arts Fellow in 2010 led to a curatorial agenda focused on artistic and cultural diversity to reflect the complexity of our incursion into Antarctica and its subsequent effect on the human condition.
