Close-up of a large pink fabric bow tied around the neck of a white textured vase.

Swaddle me is a new body of work by Nicholas Smith that comprises of sculptural works that utilise the natural flaws of the materials with which they are constructed, to simultaneously realise the camp-ness of each object, and deride its legitimacy. The sculptures, constructed from either clay or dirt, take on forms of personal importance that comfort, restrict, and problematise their maker.
