Small Worlds was an exhibition of recent works on paper by Emily Ferretti.
Ferretti’s practice investigates the art of the everyday by rendering domestic objects and scenes with an equal measure of fantasy and documentary. Small Worlds extended Ferretti’s oil painting practice by incorporating collage, watercolour and pencil on paper.
Emily Ferretti is a Naarm/Melbourne based artist. She makes images of selected still-life objects and scenes that are reflective and symbolic. Rendered with representational and abstracted elements her work uses specific form and colour to evoke and highlight feelings of recollection.
