Annita Furey presents a body of work exploring the relationship between geographic and cultural space.
re-mapping Australia is an ongoing project for the artist, considering the psychology of topographic space; in particular the South Sea Island we know as Australia.
Annita Furey was born in Naarm/Melbourne, and lived in Paris in 1983-4. She has maintained the independence of drawing as a vehicle throughout her practice and is currently completing a Master of Fine Art, at the Victorian College of the Arts, 2004.
