Cabin Fever is a collaborative work by Lauren Cross, Lewis Gallagher and Andrew Liew exploring the nature of seclusion and psychological disconnection associated with time spent in an isolated environment.
After travelling to a remote area of the west coast of Tasmania, the artists negotiate the complexity of working in isolation from each other on something that will ultimately exist in singularity.
Drawing from literary works of authors such as Murakami and Borges, the space describes narratives of the longing for ‘something’ as well as the inevitable loss that occurs from longing anything.
