“Ah poor bird”
Eleanna Elliott
8 Sept → 23 Sept 2006
Snow has just fallen, on a small forest. Footsteps mark a trail, yet there is no sign of life. The atmosphere is eerie. A lone bird sits high in one of the trees. The trees are eerily identical. It could be a scene from a Brothers Grimm fairy tale, yet so lonely as though no one has read the story for so long.
Ah poor bird is a mixed media installation by Eleanna Elliot constructed out of artificial materials. Such fabrication undermines the beauty of the realism. The footsteps disturb an otherwise perfect scene, forever ruining the post card perfection.
