6 x 4 is a corridor styled installation by Prue Crome using light to prescribe a space.
A corridor is not a destination but a passage to another space. Using standardised, mundane elements, the 6 x 4 structure explores the temporal and conditional nature of perception and the threshold between material and immaterial boundaries.
Prue Crome’s interest lies in the temporal and conditional nature of perception. Through her installations she uses the manipulation of light and colour to heighten the viewer’s experience and awareness of the interrelationship between themselves, objects, time and space.
