To work/to be in three spaces/places at once

Kay Abude

20 Sep 2010 - 24 Sep 2010 · West Space · The West Wing Back Space

Three workspaces are recreated inside the West Wing: the artist’s VCA studio, her home bedroom and the office of the VCA gallery. Elements from the three locations are appropriated, and fundamental objects are brought into the space to construct a minimal installation reminiscent of a film set. The performative piece explores art and life as simultaneous processes through the occurrence of work. The artist will live inside the space and within the Melbourne Central complex for five days.
