In the current climate of financial turmoil we are all supposedly strapped for cash. Thank god for the struggling artist who can turn shit to gold. The Zero Dollar Show addresses contemporary artists’ relationship to materials when there is a question over the concept of value. All artworks in the show are made without a single dollar spent. Found, given, stolen and borrowed materials dictate the construction of each artwork. How does the artist define zero dollars in terms of making? Where exactly does worth lay?
