Focusing on the potential and practical implications of the subject areas of sculpture and craft, Meredith Turnbull’s installation explores notions such as excess, embellishment, adornment and décor. Constructed using processes of building and assemblage, timber and metal construction, printing on fabric in combination with papier-mâché, plaster, porcelain and slip casting methods. The scale of the works will relate closely to human form but play across scales to include more intimate objects and larger sculptural pieces.
