an argument between conscious and unconscious thought,
though it exists it is not yet understood,
we do not need to look externally.
Belle Bassin recently completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (drawing) at the Victorian College of the Arts. Her enigmatic installations take the form of meticulous drawings, video and sculpture. Often in the guise of altar-like structures, they continue her exploration and fascination with symbolic and religious iconography. Coalescing divergent interests in mythology, science fiction, conspiracy theories and the occult, Bassin’s installations are imbued with a sense of the infinite, seeking new possibilities to deal with universal or eternal concerns.
