Morlocks, Mole People…

Yake Weiss, David Mutch & Adam John Cullen

10 Sep 2010 - 2 Oct 2010 · West Space · Gallery 1
Opening: Thursday 9 September 2010, 6-8pm
Artist Talk: Saturday 25 September 2010

Morlocks, Mole People… conjures confined and subterranean spaces that represent the antitheses of a civilization driven towards ever expanding worlds, surging onwards, upwards and outwards. With contradictory influences, these works offer alternate versions of escape, signaling a movement inward, imagining what happens when spaces begin to contract.

Adam John Cullen, David Mutch and Yake Weiss live and work in Melbourne.

Adam John Cullen produces mixed media images and sculptural works. In 2008 he completed a Bachelor of Arts at RMIT’s Fine Arts – Photography and, in 2009, an Honours Degree at Monash Univeristy’s Fine Arts – Photomedia.
