The artists will integrate the existing structures and environment of The West Wing into a temporary structure that references the ideologies and techniques expressed in shelter manuals and Whole Earth catalogues from the 1960s and ‘70s. The project will consider the site’s historical past as a lead factory and will reflect upon the historical remains of that building, furthering the concept of structures within structures, new surrounding old.
