A photography and video exhibition of curious amateur models, From The Outside Looking In presents portraits of couples and singles who have answered a local advertisement: ‘Models Wanted’. In collaboration with the photographer the wannabe models have acted out their desire to be in front of the camera.

Sydney-based photographic and video artist Emma Thomson graduated in 2008 from the National Art School, Sydney. Since then she has exhibited in a number of national group exhibitions and won several prizes including the 2007 Storrier Onslow NAS Paris Studio Residency, a finalist in the 2009 NPP Prize, and a recipient of the 2010 ArtStart Australia Council grant.
